Straight out of Kafou Haiti, Bennchoumy and The Manifestation or Manifestasyon produce a sound that is a fusion of Haitian rasin (roots), rock, reggae, melodic and hip hop. In Haiti, a manifestation is a march or strike from the people revolting through song against anything or anyone who wants to take away their right to live.
After seeing the video below I gotta say that I’m quite compelled to check them out live.

There is a lot to be said about George Watsky: Great guy, passionate poet, gifted lyricist, uber-motivated music nerd…the list goes on.
His rise has been nothing short of hard work and a dynamic ability to connect with fans. Years ago he started his slam poetry career which brought him onto the stage of Def Poetry and hundeds of college campuses nationwide. Then, after recording with his collective Invisible Inc, Watsky struck out on his own to record his self titled album which included guest appearances by Gift of Gab and Mieka Pauley. His music combines intelligent and comedic observation with personal experience and straight up lyricism. His video Pale Kid Raps Fast went viral earlier this year and currently boasts over 11 million views. Not bad for a one shot production featuring his cat.
Watsky is a different kind of rapper. He’s not swagged out. He’s not trying to prove anything. He’s not in your face with street cred (although he most certainly has it). His music is refreshing, insightful, and funny, not to mention great to throw on during a party.
And now without further ado and fresh off the skillet, Watsky presents his latest endeavor: A New Kind Of Sexy Mixtape. Enjoi.

Check out this freshly released track off of Freestyle Fellowship’s upcoming album The Promise. It was obvious at their reunion show at Paid Dues ’10 that like a fine wine, this fellowship has only gotten better with time.
Makes we want to throw eggs, break shit and do wheelies on scooters. Great song and video.
Big ups to Goldwatch & Decon.
